What makes the Olympics as an important part of the world's history is as follows: one of the few historical events that honor countries see different beliefs and put aside their hostilities long enough arguments instead of celebrating the talents and achievements of its athletes. It's the closest the world has never been the "world peace" and for that reason alone, people continue to value, above all other sporting events. It is also a celebration, at least today, the amateur athlete.

Since its origin, many games have been added, such as gymnastics, snowboarding, skiing and the slalom. Today the Olympics on television. It provides a gala performance of the whole world to pay attention. This is a stepping stone for young athletes become national heroes. The spirit of the original game are still alive and well beneath the surface, but - pardon analogy - have been strengthened with steroids.
